The latest-generation M135i xDrive and M235i xDrive Gran Coupé might have lost two cylinders compared to their older six-cylinder cousins, but that 2.0-litre turbo four is seriously potent. With xDrive traction and modern chassis tech, these cars are brutally effective in the real world.

From the factory though, that engine is still breathing through a restrictive, disposable paper air filter. It does the job, but it isn’t designed with enthusiasts or tuning in mind.

The K&N High-Flow Panel Air Filter changes that. It’s the ideal “first mod” for your F40 M135i or F44 M235i xDrive Gran Coupé – a direct, drop-in replacement for the stock filter that lets the turbo breathe far more freely, while being engineered to last for the life of the vehicle.

Using K&N’s multi-layered, oiled cotton gauze, this filter allows a significantly higher airflow than the OEM paper element, without sacrificing filtration.
